I had just hopped off of bikel, in front of my house, when I noticed something small, brown, and fuzzy hanging from the spider web Halloween decorations we had on our front gate. At first I thought my one of my roommates had bought me a little brown bat as a gift. I was into bats for awhile. It was kind of my thing. Well I touched it and it started to wiggle. I jumped and screamed to my next-door-neighbor who was sitting out front eating her dinner in a lawn chair.

“There is a bat on my gate!”

“A what?”

“A bat!”

“A bat?”

“Yes, a bat!” (Flapping my arms.)

“Yo, hold up, let me see this.”

I named him “Little Dude”. I believe he is Myotis lucifugus or Little Brown Bat.
